In honor of my 1 year anniversary of writing Visual Influence, I am re-posting my very first post, which is one of my favorites that not many people saw, as I was just starting out.
I took these photos about a year ago of the icy Kewaunee river, which has a huge Salmon population. Every year the Salmon come up the river to spawn, and then they die. Fisherman catch as many of they can, we eat smoked salmon for a month, and then the temperature drops and the deceased get stuck in the forming ice.
I think it looks rather beautiful. And such a great place to be. One of our favorite hiking areas.
